Burros is firing

A huge southern swell has been hammering us for over a week. It’s odd though, the only place that has significant wave size is Burros. Several days in a row, we were treated to head-high and overhead waves. But trips on different days to Veneros and La Lancha, two less crowded spots, turned up nearly nothing. Burros has been on fire and stevey has been here to corroborate my story. As my friends tell me, it’s been dead all winter long. I’d been out galanvanting around south east asia, so I wasn’t here for the major part of the winter. This has been a spring, southern swell and the duration of it is a surprise to everyone. A look at Bouyweather says that we’re in for another large swell, starting tomorrow and ending who knows when. Hopefully this new swell will hit the area more evenly, we’re in the middle of Semana Santa, when all of Mexico goes on vacation and heads for the beach, so it’s been crazy hectic at Burros. 20 to 30 deep. but the big waves keep a lot of people out of the water, which is nice. I can’t remember the last time there was this much swell.

i love mother ocean.

that would be cool. I’ve surfed la lancha down there but not on a good swell. I’d love to see some good surf from there. I’ll be around the area this summer.

Nice bali photos but a shame dreamland was flat. With that wave breaking head high or more and offshore wind you can imagine how beautiful it gets.
