Karlheinz Weinberger worked daily in a Zurich factory warehouse, thus photography was his escape from the mundaneness of Swiss industry work. Self taught and never without a camera, he gives us a beautiful insight to Swiss youth culture of the 50s and beyond. His photographs have remained widely inaccessible due to the fact that he shot photos with no intention but for himself.
Curated by Gianni Jetzer in collaboration with the Karlheinz Weinberger Estate, Warth and Artist Resources Management, New York. The Anna Kustera Gallery will also run an exhibition of never before seen photos.
