a selection of work from Tez Humphreys:
Tez Humphreys lives and breathes collage, scouring books, newspapers and magazines, and scraping discarded papers off the streets of Leeds, England; Humphreys creates graphical memento mori, reminding us of our mortality and fragility. Im always searching for the beauty in imperfections, he explains, however, here the limitations of life are not without humour. Playing on the stereotypes and clichs manifested by modern life, his pictures, like Women From Mars and Happy Family, lift the corners of your mouth. I take images out of context and place them in less literal circumstances playing images off one another.
